BIO
Born in the same Montreal hospital in 1956, Glenn Davis and William Laurin began writing together in high school. The road from there to their current job was remarkably parallel.
They began as sketch comedians, and for the first 10 years of their careers, both were members of the ACTRA award-winning comedy group The Maroons, writing and performing innumerable nightclub and college revues before settling into their own radio show in Montreal. They then turned to the feature film business, selling nine scripts in a three-year period.
Davis and Laurin entered into the television business in 1987 with Universal's Alfred Hitchcock Presents. They wrote a dozen episodes and story-edited more than 40 in a single year. Since then, together they have created and produced Dracula: The Series, Scene Of The Crime, Mann and Machine, South Beach, both the TV movie John Woo's Once A Thief and the subsequent series of the same name, Power Play and are currently working on 1-800-Missing for Lifetime TV.
Although their careers have taken place largely in the United States, they have remained with the game of hockey and committed to their home and native land. That obsession came to the fore with their series, Power Play.
