Hudson is the son of Whittaker James, the owner of Manticorp, one of the largest representing firms in the world, based in New York.  It's really not easy for him to live up to his father's expectations.  While working on Manticorp's European Operations in the UK, Hudson taught a seminar at the London School of Economics, where he met his future wife, Michele Parker.

Now his father, who does not approve of his marriage, sent him to Canada to start a Manticorp franchise in Toronto, so he finds himself at odds with his father in law, Brett Parker.  Hudson is a scheming business man just like Parker, and he has a few secrets, too, like a previous marriage to a young British pop singer.
