BIO

Michael Riley was born on February 4, 1962 in London, Ontario, Canada.  It wasn't until his high school years that he latched onto acting.

On the big screen, Michael Riley is most often seen in independent productions, including "Mustard Bath", the 1997 movie "Pale Saints", for which he was nominated for a Genie award, "Black Swan", "Mile Zero" and "Punch".

On the small screen, he was part of the Canadian miniseries "Chasing Rainbows" and "The Private Capital", and the TV movies  "From Homeless to Harvard", "To Catch a Killer" (the Emmy-nominated story of serial killer John Wayne Gracy), "Butterbox Babies" (best TV movie Gemini winner in 1996), and "The Facts Behind the Helsinki Roccamatios" for which he received a Gemini Award for best actor.

He also made guest appearances on shows such as Due South, The Outer Limits, and CSI : Crime Scene Investigation.   His role on Power Play earned him two Gemini awards for best lead in a dramatic series.  He is currently starring in CBC's This Is Wonderland.

In October 2003, Michael received his 4th Gemini award for his role on the TV movie The Interrogation of Michael Crowe.


On Power Play, Michael Riley plays the role of Brett Parker.
